Microsoft has paused the rollout of pre-release versions of Windows 10 updates for the time being, possibly to upload before a major revelation.
The company says that there will be no more preview versions of Windows 10 21H2 in the near future, which means that users of the program will not get to experience more news and insight into upcoming features, services and tools.
The news comes in connection with high expectations that Microsoft will present the next generation of operating systems, probably called Windows 11, at an event on June 24.
Windows 11 up and running?
The notes for what may for a relatively long time be the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview reveal one thing and another, among other things that Microsoft announces that the version does not contain anything new to be tested but instead is intended to test the company’s infrastructure before an imminent feared heavier load .
“In the coming weeks, the focus will be on releasing several accumulated updates on top of build 21390,” according to Microsoft. “Having access to Insiders in the development channel testing this will be of great help to us and we will be releasing updates as before very soon!”.
The Windows event planned for June 24 should reveal more about the future of Windows and possibly also the upcoming modernizations and changes that await the interface in Windows.
More and more rumors say that Microsoft will even launch a completely new version of Windows, probably Windows 11, rather than a major update to the current version.
Microsoft itself says that the new version means some of the most extensive updates of Windows in the last decade, but beyond that very little is known, which also explains why they are so careful to make sure that nothing leaks.
