When Microsoft introduced Windows 10 six years ago, it claimed to be the last version of Windows in history. But the plans have obviously changed, as we have recently been exposed successor to windows 11, the final version of which should arrive this fall. “Dozens” will continue to live, they just have to forget about the supply of larger news, after all, the last major update arrived a year and a half ago, since then Microsoft has been releasing only small service packs. And one of them is scheduled to arrive this fall.
Windows 10 21H2 will arrive this fall. What’s new?
This week, Microsoft released the first test build of the autumn update of Windows 10 in the Release Preview circle. It contains several small improvements, which the average mortal will probably not even notice:
- Enhanced Wi-Fi security with WPA3 H2E
- Windows Hello support for businesses without the need for a password
- Support for hardware acceleration in the Linux subsystem (WSL) and Azure IoT Edge for Linux on Windows
That’s all for now, although it can be assumed that new features in Windows 10 will gradually increase; look forward to, for example, we should have a new application store that is part of it Windows 11. Windows 10 support is expected to last until October 2025, so similarly large service packs can be expected to be released for some time to come. But we can only wait for the “big” new features in Windows 11.
