Microsoft will not force users to upgrade to Windows 11

After the experience since the launch of Windows 10, when even after several rejections from time to time the operating system prompted users to upgrade and came up with new ways to get Windows 10 into the device (users also complained about the automatic start of the installation). Windows 11 seems almost like a small miracle.

The operating system / Windows Update will not encourage or persuade users to update. The user will have to go alone to switch to the eleven opposite. It does so by manually checking for updates, without which you won’t be able to install Windows 11 online. Only with the manual search for updates will they offer dozens of upgrades, but only on the condition that the assembly will be evaluated as compatible (the minimum requirements will be met; however, these are still being developed):

Microsoft further reassures users who choose to stay on Windows 10. They will not lose support, security updates will be available until October 2025. But the question remains, what then. Four years will run away like water and the user will have to return to the question of what to do next. Windows 10 will no longer be updated (the dream of a constantly updated operating system is falling apart) and the situation will need to be resolved. However, the key information we do not yet have is whether in the autumn of 2025 Windows 11 will still be available (only), or whether there will already be their successor (Windows 12), which would be a choice.

If there is no choice, then the current non-violent upgrade is just a useless theater: The choice of whether or not to switch to Windows 11 would only be apparent, because in reality the user would not choose whether to switch to eleven, but only when to switch to (now, in October 2025 or sometime in between).
