Microsoft warns of temporarily unusable system components Windows 11 – Computer – News

Today I ‘forced’ an upgrade to Windows 11. I have a fairly new (and powerful, because game PC) system that meets all the hardware requirements of Windows 11. Turn on TPM in the BIOS.

The reason for the upgrade: I couldn’t upgrade Windows 10 Professional anymore. Always after reboot the message that the installation was rolled back due to an error. Disk check didn’t work either, PC wouldn’t go into standby anymore and went through all troubleshooting actions to no avail. After that I started working with the specific error message where you have to perform all kinds of actions via the command prompt. That’s really crazy in 2021, isn’t it? It’s that I’m pretty handy with PCs, but how could my wife have gotten out of this? And how did it ‘suddenly’ come about?

After hours and hours of trying and going through everything, I was faced with the choice: try a fresh installation of Windows 10 or upgrade Windows 11. So the last one was done and problems seem to be solved.

When Windows 10 came out I was a big fan. Amazing how it ran stable and fast, even on older hardware. But I started to get more and more annoyed by the illogical structure, the various shells and still going to the old Control Panel instead of the native Settings window. I used to love the rumble, but now everything just has to work. The contrast with my MacBook is very large (unfold it and start working immediately).

I think I will spend little time behind Windows 11 myself; it just serves as a platform for my sons to play games on. But I will follow how it develops!
