Aah yes, those consumers who now always buy DVDs/Blu-Rays and not a subscription picks up and Netflix, and Disney+, and *insert TV streaming service here * and that same consumer who now goes to the record store to buy the latest music because nobody uses Spotify, Apple Music, * insert music streaming service here*.
Guard…
This whole argument is outdated. Whether you personally like it or not, subscription like Game Pass are the future, and considering Microsoft has managed to sell 25 million of it, a big chunk, including the mainstream, seems to disagree with you. This is just under 25% of monthly Xbox users.
And people who only play two games of CoD? Game Pass is not for that. But how many people really think so? As soon as you buy 2 larger games per year you are already cheaper with Game Pass than with those 2 games to buy. The whole idea of Game Pass is also precisely to lower the threshold to discover other games. Sat people who discovered games through GP that they would never have played otherwise. And again; if you play CoD and you discover even 1 other game through that service, you have already earned your money back for that year.
