Microsoft’s attempt met with a lot of opposition from users and was criticized by many media outlets as one of Microsoft’s worst ideas.
Seeing the strong opposition of all,Microsoft has reverted this feature in the latest Windows 11 build 25272,There are no more ads like suggested sites in the start menu.
Microsoft also thanked everyone for their feedback in the document, stating that this feature is just an attempt in the Dev development release. Many functions and experiences in Win11 development version will be changed or tested, and Microsoft will never release it after the development version.
