Microsoft Updates Windows 11 Settings with New Home Section for Easy Access to System Controls

It looks like Microsoft has decided to give Windows 11’s Settings section a little update with a new Home section that will collect the system controls you use the most.

What is known

The tab appeared in system update 22631.2262, which is available to members of the Windows 11 Insider Preview Program. In it, Microsoft has added a home page with interactive cards that can give you quick access to One Drive cloud storage, Microsoft 365 subscription management, account recovery, Bluetooth devices, recommended system settings, or personalization settings. The page will also be used to advertise Microsoft’s own services, such as One Drive or a Microsoft 365 subscription.

Also among the new features can be noted Windows Backup, which Microsoft announced in May this year. It works exactly as you’d expect: when you move to a new Windows 11 PC or laptop, you’ll automatically carry over your settings, programs from your desktop and Start menu, and credentials from your old device.

Of course, build 22631.2262 contains other minor fixes and improvements related to File Explorer, HDR trellis, Task Manager and the like. You can see the complete list at Windows Insider Blog.
