Another possible reason is that many users prefer to use the full Google Play Store service instead of downloading App content through the Amazon Appstore service.
In the next update, users will no longer be able to find the Amazon Appstore service in the Microsoft Store software market. Users who have already downloaded the Appstore service can continue to use the relevant download and installation functions before March 5, 2025. As for other corresponding Apps of the Windows Android subsystem can also continue to be used before March 5, 2025.
After this update, developers will no longer be able to list new App content on the Amazon Appstore service in the Microsoft Store software market, but they can still provide subsequent updates for existing App content, but only before March 5, 2025.
Compared with Microsoft’s discontinuation of the ability to download and use Android Apps through the Amazon Appstore in Windows 11, Google currently still allows users to download and install Android platform Apps through the Google Play Store in the Chrome OS environment, while Apple allows users to use Apple Silicon processors Download and install the iOS platform App for Mac models.
