At the same time, Microsoft also announced that the “Office LTSC 2024” preview beta version, which is currently in the internal development stage, will be released in April this year. (Note: LTSC refers to Long-Term Servicing Channel, which means this version will be provided through the long-term servicing channel.)
According to Microsoft officials, the new version of “Office 2024”, which is a one-time fee, is an upgraded version since the Office 2021 version. It is a comprehensive revision of the existing Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and is expected to include Microsoft 365 partial functions.
It should be noted that the new version of the buyout “Office 2024” is only suitable for use on a single Windows or Mac device, does not provide additional cloud storage services, does not have related functions such as integrating mobile version of Office application services, and will not provide AI Copilot and other cloud-based collaboration and security features.
