Outlook integration for easier email sharing
Microsoft has planned to integrate its Outlook messaging into Teams in its roadmap Microsoft 365. This will allow users to share a copy of emails or chats from Outlook (web version) to a Teams channel or one-to-one conversation, without having to forward or export it.
When sharing to Teams from Outlook on the web, a pop-up will appear to confirm the channel or person you want to share (some content) with. You can also select whether you want to include attachments or not, Microsoft explains in its roadmap.
This integration of Outlook with Teams will be deployed in order to facilitate the work of professional users, by allowing them to share information more easily, and to save them time. This feature is currently under development and will be rolled out to all users in March 2021.
New features deployed and more to come
Since the start of the pandemic, Microsoft Teams has been in high demand by teams that have to work remotely. The collaborative platform is suitable for professional use and allows communication via chat, audio and video. Microsoft therefore continues to deploy new features on Teams in order to meet the growing needs of users forced to work from home.
Since the beginning of the year, Microsoft has focused its efforts on improving the tool by deploying several new features such as: the integration of Yammer within the Teams interface, new functions for application development, but also and especially improvements for video conferencing, one of the main needs of users this year.
Other new features are coming to Teams, according to Microsoft’s roadmap, including new stages for the Together Mode, but also insights on his personal productivity. In particular, users will receive smart reminders to make contact with “key” people, keep track of the most important tasks and also monitor working time without interruption.
