There are still a lot of things like that. I really don’t like that web app thing.
For example, I have a beast of a laptop, and yet Teams is relatively slow. If Teams was a native application, this could be the best chat app ever. But unfortunately…
There are so many things that are not yet right and are not consistent with the rest of the system. It just doesn’t work well. For example, if you are sharing a screen, a small window will open showing the webcam of the person you are talking to. This window is a normal window for Windows, and that in turn ensures that it is in your alt + tab list and can also be seen on your taskbar. Horrible! If you stop sharing, you’ll have to maximize your Teams window again, if you did that before sharing.
Some more things:
– your pointer becomes a ‘hand’ when you hover over the top right window buttons (close, maximize, minimize). That is not how it should be.
– context menus open at the top left of the pointer, instead of the bottom right as it is in the rest of Windows and any app.
– images often don’t load.
– the notification system of your operating system is not used.
– you often get notifications while you just focus on that chat. I think this happens when you open chats in separate windows.
– separate windows do not always scroll when there are new messages.
And much, much, much more. Microsoft, this is a shame compared to the decent ‘classic’ office applications.
