Microsoft Teams Users Now It’s Easier to Share Content

Microsoft makes it easy for Teams users to quickly share content.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Microsoft has released preview build from Windows 11 which makes it even easier to share content from other apps to Microsoft Teams with participants in a meeting. With the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22499 to the software giant, the Dev Channel, Microsoft is rolling out a new feature that allows Teams users to quickly share content from an open application window directly from taskbar Windows 11 to their video calls.

This new update builds on the recently released features. It introduced the ability to quickly mute and enable active meeting calls right from the taskbar. By making it easier to share content during a Teams call, Microsoft will eliminate the need to switch between apps just to share or re-share windows. With fewer interruptions, it’s easier for meeting participants to focus on their meeting in Teams.

Sharing open windows in Teams
Reported from Techradar, Sunday (14/11), Windows 11 Insiders can now test this feature after downloading the latest preview version of Microsoft’s new operating system. While in a meeting in Microsoft Teams, users can share content from an open window by hovering over an app on the taskbar.

A new “Share this window” button will appear below the app preview and by clicking on it, they can share the open window with other participants in the video call. By hovering over the window again and clicking “Stop Sharing”, users can stop Teams from showing content on their PC or they can also select another window to share content from.

This new feature also works when presenting a full-screen presentation in PowerPoint and by moving your mouse down a taskbar will appear so users can share or stop sharing their presentation without disturbing the participants. according to posting blog New from Microsoft, the company is rolling out this new feature to a subset of Windows Insiders with Teams for work or school installed although it will roll out to more users at a later date.

The software giant also plans to bring this functionality to Chat from Microsoft Teams (Microsoft Teams for Home) at a later date.
