Microsoft has launched a series of new features aimed at improving collaboration and meetings on its platform. These features included Meet, live translation, and background blur, while allowing users an improved collaboration experience with colleagues. Here’s a look at five key features of Teams that may help you boost engagement with your colleagues:
New meeting feature
A new feature called “Meet” has been added to Teams, enabling users to have a seamless experience for current and future meetings. This single view makes meeting content more easily accessible, enhancing the collaboration experience and simplifying access to content.
Direct translated version
Already, Teams has built-in translation features, but what’s new now is the addition of a live translator feature. This feature breaks down language barriers, offering real-time meeting transcripts in more than 30 languages. Users can easily switch between translated text and original text to enhance the meeting experience, but it’s worth noting that this feature is only available to Teams Premium users.
Blur the image
Portrait Blur is another feature that enhances the meeting experience for users, as it allows dynamic options to blur the video background. These options include standard blur and image blur, giving your video a cinematic feel. This feature aims to provide a professional look to users, with clear focus and a blurred background.
Collaborative notes in Teams mobile
Users can now access collaborative notes via the Teams mobile app. These notes are always synchronized, enabling attendees to co-create agendas and action items in harmony. This feature is powered by Loop, ensuring notes are in sync with Microsoft To Do and Planner.
Try new channels
The new channel experience makes it easier to focus on key topics, engage with the right stakeholders, and find specific information to boost team productivity. This experience features a new conversation view in channels, a revamped creation box, a simplified information section, improvements to the in-channel search experience, and much more.
