Microsoft Teams or Zoom? A salesman gives his shocking verdict

A cultural event?

Locking up here in California makes it easier, so I’ve had the opportunity to spend more distant time with real men other than my wife.

And technically wrong

Last week, I enjoyed an attention-grabbing drink, or two, in the style of a high-end software vendor and a senior executive from a household name (loosely called).

Somehow the conversation was with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

In my opinion, there is not a small difference. I use both. They both work. I look at faces, hear voices, smile from time to time, and at the same time appreciate the tastes of others in wall decoration and casual clothing.

Get closer to passion.

Suddenly, however, the software vendor, let’s call him Emanuel, showed extraordinary intensity: “Oh, the zoom is so much better than the computers.”

It is

“It’s great,” Emanuel said. “Participants have additional options on how the screen is organized. Everything is very intuitive ”.

This struck him as somewhat emotional, so I explored further.

“So what do you use most often?” I asked.

“Teams,” he replied. “I used teams first, it was the default because my company uses Microsoft Outlook and there is always a link to add a team meeting.”

“So even if you think zoom is better, will you always use matrices?”

“I am on video calls eight hours a day. I do the easiest ”.

“So how do you know the zoom is better?”

“Some of the clients I work with zoom,” he said. “They send the link. The zoom is bright and sharp. ”

“Are you always too lazy to use it?”

“Yes,” he said. “Some of my meetings are at midnight. Do you like me Think Then? ”

However, his interest is strange: “The teams are a muted version of Zoom. Big 5 kits are for Dick’s toys. ”

Emanuel is a sports enthusiast. You often see things in game metaphors. But comparing teams to the Big 5, one from a Rocktock sporting goods store, seems a bit harsh.

Zoom is fashionable, are teams simply intolerant?

At this point, the fashion executive, let’s call her Ledidia, presented her own metaphor: “Zoom into teams is like Sebora for Ulta. Or for Lululemon Athlete ”.

I was even more surprised by this brand Tsunami. I had no idea that so-called power users have such powerful emotions.

Lydia is forced to be on video for a substantial part of her day. He explained that his company, like Emanuel, uses Microsoft Outlook.

“So you use equipment because it’s easy?”

“We are all magnifying,” he replied.

“What?”

“We got the complement. We always use the zoom from the beginning of the epidemic ”.

“Do you remember how it all started?”

“I don’t know anything,” he said.

The company’s feelings about his selection are as strong as hers: “This guy doesn’t like us all. He is always trying to hold team meetings. It is a paradoxical cove ”.

Honestly she didn’t say Ensenada Anyway, I kept the sandals from the decoration here.

Ledidia continued: “When I look at it, it is a cultural decision. I mean, sepore or ulta? Seriously? It is not a brain ”.

Suddenly, Ledidia started singing “All I Wanna Do To Zoom, Zoom, Zoom” from the classic wreck-XN effect song. “Rump Shaker.“Did I mention that you work with style (which can be called loose)?

Everyone knows the zoom, right?

I was eager to consider whether the time spent teaming and zooming had shaken the minds of my friends, but my wife provided her own cultural perspective.

“We are also on Microsoft Outlook and we have group meetings,” he said, referring to discussions he had with fellow scientists.

He’s an alcohol researcher. Some research on her – her Drink less for your breasts Bell Launched last week: Includes talking to women ages 18-25.

“I always tell them to speak through the zoom,” he said. “If I told you that we would chat in teams, I didn’t think you would know what I’m talking about. Everyone knew Zoom. ”

The epidemic has launched two new marks in people’s lives with extraordinary intensity.

With a strange sense of humor in the culture, some seem to occupy deeper pages. It’s reminiscent of the (mostly) old days of Apple vs Microsoft.

Again, just like the old days, I think some people may naturally rebel against teams because Microsoft’s relentless package is imposing it.

On the contrary, the zoom seems sweeter. One thing Microsoft has pointed to as a technique: For some time, many were unaware that it had major privacy concerns. Some are still skeptical Zoom relations with China.

However, Ledidia, who occasionally has to have difficult meetings with staff, noted that she believes that the zoom has an advantage: “Zoom has higher security protocols, you can close the room so that nobody can enter.”

Brand preferences have more to do with people who believe in a brand from the start. As long as the brand doesn’t let them down, they stick to those beliefs, without even thinking about whether a competitor can now be a comparable product.

As Emanuel describes, both Emanuel and Lydia firmly believe: “Teams are always catchy.”

They will say the same about Apple. Not Emanuel and Lydia, but, oh, people who don’t like Apple.

For me, I would gladly use both gear and zoom. I’m afraid I’ll get the teams image now as the Big 5 sporting goods are glued on my insides.

I mean, like my wife says, there is no Funo.
