Microsoft Teams: Learn about 5 new features that make meetings easier – Youm7

Written by Mounis Hawass Monday, November 20, 2023 06:00 AM Posted Microsoft Several new features aim to improve collaboration and meetings on the platform. New features include Meet, live translated text, image blur, and more. Here are 5 new team features that can help you collaborate better with your colleagues.

New Meet feature

Teams has received a new feature called Meet that allows users a seamless experience by providing a single view of upcoming and recent meetings. This makes it easier to access meeting content and improve collaboration.

Direct translated version

Teams already has built-in translation features, however, it has now got a new live translator feature that breaks the language barrier by offering real-time meeting transcripts in over 30 languages, where users can easily switch between translated and original text for a better meeting experience. However, the feature is available to Teams Premium users.

Blur the image

Portrait Blur is another feature that makes the meeting experience better for users. It includes two dynamic background blur options – standard blur and a new portrait blur that adds a cinematic feel to the video. This, according to the company, provides a professional look with users in sharp focus and a blurred background.

Collaborative notes in Teams mobile

Users now have the option to access collaborative notes on the Teams mobile app. These notes are always in sync, allowing attendees to seamlessly co-create meeting agendas and action items. This feature is powered by Loop, which ensures notes are in sync with Microsoft To Do and Planner.

Try new channels

The new channel experience makes it easier to focus on key topics, engage with the right stakeholders, and find specific information so your team can accomplish more together. The new experience features a new conversation view in channels, a revamped compose box, a simplified information pane, and an improved in-channel search experience. And more.
