What would video conferences be without one or the other virtual effect? Probably pretty boring. Microsoft must have thought the same thing and is upgrading the teams chat.
There has to be a bit of fun, even in business: Microsoft is expanding its messenger service Teams, which is mainly used in a professional context, to include various virtual face filters from Snapchat, as the company reports.
The legendary cat ears, a chicken on the head, a teddy bear around the neck or even giant, fully mirrored sunglasses on the nose are no longer a problem in meetings and conferences.
Some Snapchat filters are already available
Many users of teams should already be able to provide one or two conference laughs with the new filters. Otherwise, the effects should Declarations will definitely be rolled out in April.
The filters, which are called lenses in Snapchat, can be set in the teams settings under “Video Effects/More Video Effects”. There you have to scroll down in the right area and select “Snapchat” in the filter category. (dpa)
