Microsoft Surface Pro 8 with Thunderbolt and 13-inch

Microsoft already announced in an invite earlier in the month that the new Surface tablet would be presented next Wednesday. Now Twitter user Shadow_Leak has posted details of the allegations. Therefore, the Surface Pro 8 comes with a bigger screen and a Thunderbolt interface instead of USB-A.

The screen has a diagonal of 13 inches, judging by the photos, with mostly identical housing dimensions; Perhaps the thinner frame saves space compared to the previous 12.3-inch panel. In addition, the display should be capable of 120 Hz, which among other things makes content scrolling smoother.

According to the leak, the USB-A interface gives way to two Thunderbolt sockets. This allows, among other things, the Pro to be connected directly to a USB-C/Thunderbold-equipped display or docking station with Power Delivery, i.e. to connect the power supply, display and all peripheral devices via a single cable.

According to Leak, the Pro 8 inherits the replaceable SSD in the M.2 card and the current generation Intel Tiger Lake processor from the Surface Pro 7+, which was introduced earlier this year. Windows 11 should be installed properly.

Also, Microsoft may want to introduce a new version of the Surface Duo foldable smartphone, where the cameras have been improved in particular – the Surface Duo is terrible for this price range. Additionally, successors to the Surface Book 3, Surface Go 2, and Surface Pro X are expected.
