KOMPAS.com – Microsoft launched its newest laptop called Surface Laptop Go 3 at the “Microsoft Surface Event 2023) on Thursday (21/9/2023).
According to Microsoft, this laptop brings a number of advantages, such as a new processor with faster performance, a large touchscreen, and light weight.
The Surface Laptop Go 3 is powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i5-1235U processor. Microsoft said that this processor brings performance up to 88 percent faster than the Surface Laptop Go 2 (2022) which is powered by an 11th generation Intel processor.
The 12th generation Intel Core i5-1235U processor on the Surface Go 3 laptop is combined with 8/16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB SSD storage. This processor is also paired with an Intel Iris Xe Graphics graphics processor.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 launched with a 12th generation Intel Core i5-1235U processor. Prices for the Surface Laptop Go 3 start at 799.99 US dollars (around Rp. 12.3 million).
Aside from the performance improvements, the specifications of the new Surface Laptop Go 3 are largely identical to the previous model, the Surface Laptop Go 2.
For example, this laptop has a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen. This screen has a resolution of 1,536 x 1,024 pixels, an aspect ratio of 3:2, a pixel density of 148 ppi, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 glass.
On the front of the screen there is a webcam camera with 720p HD resolution along with a pair of microphones with premium audio quality. Microsoft has also integrated a fingerprint module into the power button to allow users to enter Windows pages via the fingerprint sensor.
On paper, this laptop has dimensions of 10.95 inches long, 0.62 inches wide, 0.62 inches high and weighs 2.5 pounds or around 1.1 kilograms. This makes the Surface Laptop Go 3 lighter than other brands, such as the Apple MacBook Air, Chromebook, or other Windows laptops.
This laptop is supported by a 41 Wh capacity battery with fast charging support. This laptop is claimed to be able to last up to 15 hours on a single charge.
Surface Laptop Go 3 runs the Windows 11 Home operating system with pre-loaded Microsoft 365 applications.

Other features that the Surface Laptop Go brings include Wi-Fi 6, one USB Type-C 3.2 port, one USB Type-A 3.1 port, Bluetooth 5.1, a charging port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
In the packaging box, consumers will also get a 39W charger adapter, as compiled by KompasTekno from Microsoft’s official website, Friday (22/9/2023).
