The premiere of this year’s generation of Microsoft Surface computers is scheduled for September 21
Apparently, we will see the unveiling of three new computers from the Surface Go, Laptop Go and Laptop Studio series
Microsoft will probably also release a Windows 11 update that adds artificial intelligence
This autumn will again be packed with a lot of new devices – the manufacturers of technological toys will once again introduce a lot of novelties with which they will want to dazzle the pre-Christmas market. Microsoft will not be an exception, as it will launch several new Surface family computers on the market, and will do so unexpectedly early this year.
New Surfaces coming next month
Microsoft usually presents its computers either at the end of September or even more often in the month of October. For this year, the date chosen was September 21, which is three weeks earlier than last year. The event will take place in New York and it can be assumed that, in addition to new computers, we will see the release of a major Windows 11 update, which will enrich the system (and not only) with the Copilot function using artificial intelligence elements. While we already know the upcoming improvements for Windows 11 from the Insider program, we have to rely on all kinds of speculation for hardware news.
Microsoft Surface Studio will see a 2nd generation this year
At this point, it looks like Microsoft isn’t planning any revolutions for this year, basically just lightly upgrading its existing devices – adding newer processors and improving repairability. The following are to be improved:
Surface Laptop Studio – the second generation is supposed to bring 13th generation Intel Core processors, NVIDIA RTX 40XX graphics and reportedly a rejuvenated port stock
Surface Laptop Go – the third generation is to receive the 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor and a larger capacity of RAM and SSD in the basic configuration
Surface Go – the fourth generation will reportedly receive the Intel N200 processor with higher performance
Some of Microsoft’s new computers should also include new features using artificial intelligence, such as voice processing. Originally, these technologies were limited to ARM chipsets with a dedicated neural unit, but now they should also come to computers with processors from Intel.
