TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Microsoft held the Dev//Verse: Empowering Developer Universe event on 22-25 March 2022. This virtual conference invites all Indonesian digital technology activists to get to know various platforms closer developer up-to-date, learn stories of successful collaborations between industry players and digital talent, hone skills with skill the latest digital technology, as well as exploring new business development or job opportunities.
This event is in line with the Digital Indonesia Roadmap 2021-2024 with four strategic sectors that require accelerated transformation, namely digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The Dev//Verse show shows how empowering can be digital talent and the surrounding technology ecosystem is indispensable.
“Microsoft continues to expand our commitment to Indonesia by localizing the Microsoft Learn learning platform and the Azure innovation portal, as well as introducing a dedicated platform for startup Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub in Indonesia,” said Dharma Simorangkir, President Director of Microsoft Indonesia, to online media, Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
Dharma hopes that Microsoft can accompany Indonesia in every step and process digital transformation domestically and empowering as many individuals and organizations as possible to take part in this journey.
The Dev//Verse runs for four days and each day presents a different topic. First about technology immersive which has become a new wave of innovation in Indonesia.
Seconddigital native and sustainability to support growth startup (such as through the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub) and the achievement of Indonesia’s carbon neutrality commitment by 2060,
Third, end-to-end developer tools to build dream applications safely and inclusively, such as through the Azure Indonesian innovation portal. And finally, the future of digital talent is strengthened through the launch of Microsoft Learn Indonesian.
Speakers came from various backgrounds including Ridwan Kamil (Governor of West Java Province), Siti Nurbaya (Minister of Environment and Forestry), and Sandiaga Uno (Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy).
Ridwan hopes that Dev//Verse empowers digital talents, especially developer and the ecosystem. The West Java Provincial Government, he added, appreciated Microsoft Indonesia’s initiative to organize this event. “We also participated by organizing the Cloud Skills Challenge for West Java residents,” said Ridwan.
