Microsoft has now announced that it will end the Xbox ambassador program after 13 years, where players could earn points that could be exchanged for discount codes and other prizes in the Xbox online store.
In a statement regarding the shutdown, Microsoft said:
“Players get more value from engaging with us in other ways that allow them to live our community values of making Xbox a place where everyone can have fun – including programs such as Fanfest, the Xbox Insider Program and Rewards by Xbox,” he said. said that in today’s statement. “Thanks to the work of this organization, the opportunity for players to experience joy more global and inclusive gaming than ever before – and we believe it’s the right time to incorporate the learning and values of the Ambassador community into all of our player engagement programs .”
The program will officially end in mid-October, and reminders have been sent to all ambassadors to use their points and codes before they close. Upon completion of the program, all participants will receive a unique badge visible on their profile as a token of their commitment.
The ambassador program officially ends on October 15th.
