‘Microsoft Should Buy Embracer Group’ – Comments of the Week

This is a blog post, where the VGC writers post irreverent and (occasionally) entertaining coverage of video game culture.

We spent the whole week writing words for you, our dear readers, so it’s only fair that we read the words you write to us.

Reviews of the Week is our weekly roundup where we break down our favorites:

  • Comments posted on our

To qualify for Comments of the Week, a comment doesn’t necessarily have to be funny (although it certainly increases your chances). It can be a good point, an interesting observation, or sometimes something so ridiculous that it has to be reported.

It goes without saying, but if you’d like a chance to be featured in Comments of the Week in the future, be sure to comment on our articles, reply to our tweets, comment on our YouTube videos, and join our Discord server. We’ll take it from there.

This is what made the cut this week.

Here’s why Deus Ex and Tomb Raider could thrive under Embracer

“My great hope (at least from the fans’ point of view) is that Legacy of Kain is revived in some way. Absolutely absurd that that series was sealed from Nosgoth, which also deserved better, although it really couldn’t do without the expectations of being a LoK title.

“Embracer, from the fans’ perspective, is a dream. reinvest in cult series like Desperados, Gothic, Darksiders, Destroy All Humans! (my favourite), Aquanox, Saints Row (since Agents of Mayhem, has fallen off a bit), and Jagged Alliance, while also bringing in new and weird IPs like Biomutant, Huntdown, El Hijo, SCARF, Midnight Ghost Hunt, and Valheim a threw.

“Currently, they’re pretty benign monetized AFAIK, and the prices are pretty fair for what’s on offer. so as much as there’s an inclination to assume they’re exclusively looking at heavier hitters like Tomb Raider or Deus Ex, it’s entirely possible to see revivals for LoK and especially Thief, considering Embracer’s emphasis on breathing new life into cult series. ”

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens, mateo wernerbut given the development times, it may be at least a couple of years before we find out.

Activision says Call of Duty Vanguard underperformed in part due to WWII setting

It only says “partially” to be fair, VXGAMING. It’s just that there seem to be many parts.

NFT sales ‘are down 92% from their peak’

“Well! Maybe now we can all move on to the next money laundering scheme, like loot boxes with crypto inside that only function as in-game currency, but you can invest it in exclusive gear that can then be sold for real-world crypto. through a Battle Royale-style online auction house.”

I would say “don’t give them ideas”, paulo bojalilbut first I’m trying to understand what the idea actually is.

Reggie Fils-Aimé Claims Nintendo of America Was ‘Forced’ To Release Game Boy Micro

“The Game Boy Micro was truly fantastic and is hands down the best pure gaming handheld of a generation. Even with the DS, DS Lite and 3DS, the Micro’s refinement is at a level few other consumer devices match.

“If you’re a fan of the Gameboy Advance, it’s the best system to play on to this day.”

Well said, Jamtea. Everyone say hello to Micro.

Embracer Group will buy Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and IP, including Tomb Raider, for $300 million

“Embracer Group has been slowly building a gaming empire. I have a feeling Microsoft will buy them eventually.”

If you want, you’ll have to dig deeper, maruf hasan. Embracer is worth approximately $8.3 billion.

24 hours after launch, a Switch Sports player already broke his TV

“Joy Con straps are apparently available for just $4. It should be an obvious purchase, unless you’re assuming the gamer has no brains.”

Even better, roguecortexthey come free with Switch.
