You swallow Sony’s marketing like sweet cake, don’t you? It all sounds very cool, that list. And those are things that are certainly unique to the ps5 compared to the ps4. But the sound engine is an upgrade from the AMD true audio hardware in the ps4 / Xbox one. Which is largely made by AMD and which is also in the xbox series s / x. But Microsoft calls it different and uses different software. Sony the Tempest engine of their own and MS uses the hardware for Dolby Atmos.
Cooling is always custom, which I also mentioned and the power supply is just a power supply with a custom size so that it fits in the housing.
The custom DMA controller is also such a nice one. That is the AMD hardware that the Xbox also uses with a different label. Something with velocity architecture. The only custom are software adjustments from Sony because their SSD is constructed differently.
Custom mainboard makes sense, its size and shape is unique. You name the SSD 4 times, first the separate components, then the SSD itself. The optical drive is just a blu-ray player, I don’t understand why they call it custom. There is nothing customs to discover.
Sony has put up a nice marketing pitch and if you don’t know the hardware and you look at Sony completely, I understand your story, but if you put the info and presentations from AMD and Microsoft next to it, you will see the similarities automatically.
You can start acting like a toddler, with your trolls if someone doesn’t share your opinion, or in this case, simply know the hardware better and don’t focus blindly on Sony’s marketing. A little rude of you.
