It seems that Microsoft is preparing a Win32 phone, where widgets will play an important role.
On PC/Laptop I see little benefit in the current Widget Feed.
So why would anyone start developing Widgets now?
Windows 11 is also a dragon of an operating system, with stringent hardware requirements. Widgets are also not backwards compatible, so widgets are not useful for Windows 10 users.
It would have been much more convenient if the Windows 8 Start Menu had support for this type of widget. Windows 11 has nothing to do with it.
