Artificial Intelligence will recommend us on which Office files to work with Recommended Files
The Redmond giant has announced that the new feature, Recommended Files will reach the Microsoft 365 application suite. With this new function, Office will show us a series of recommended files in the File area or when opening Word, Excel or PowerPoint in Windows. This list allows us to keep track of our work and access files with certain actions such as edits, mentions and comments from other people.
This section, which already existed before, allows us track around files and choose those documents that are most relevant to us. Before it only showed us some files. Now it offers us relevant information such as mentions, recent editions or comments from other people.
This function now makes use of Machine Learning to predict which files we are going to work on next. It should be noted that only those files hosted on OneDrive o SharePoint. This feature is available now on Office.com, Office for Mac, and now coming to Office for Windows. At the moment, it will only be available to Office Insiders on business subscriptions. Full rollout of this function will arrive in June and its rollout is expected to end in mid-September. A new feature that shows the great work Microsoft is doing to improve Office.
