The feature, which was released in preview in February, is said to provide “basic iOS support for accessing calls, messages, and contacts.” To use it, you need an iPhone with “iOS 14” or later, a Bluetooth connection, and the latest version of the “Link to Windows” app.

By connecting an iPhone to a Windows 11-equipped PC, you will be able to receive notifications of calls and messages received on the iPhone on the PC. iCloud Photos will also work with the Windows Photos app, allowing users to access their iPhone photos from their PCs. However, Microsoft notes that it doesn’t support group messaging or video and photo sharing.

Smartphone linkage appeared in 2022 as an improved version of the “Your Phone (Smartphone Sync)” app announced for “Android” smartphones in 2018.
