Microsoft announced a handful of new updates to the humble Notepad app shortly after Windows 11 launched last year. If this is true, Microsoft Notepad will be the second built-in app after Files to get the tabs feature.
It should be noted that Microsoft first experimented with the idea of bringing tabs functionality to the Notepad and File Explorer applications almost five years ago.
