Microsoft will announce a “new version of Windows” in the coming months, according to online sources. It is assumed that we are talking about Windows 10X or a major update for Sun Valley for Windows 10, which is expected to launch this fall.
Back in October last year, it was announced about the upcoming large-scale update of the Windows 10 user interface, which was dubbed Sun Valley. The date of its launch has not yet been determined, but the announcement may take place already in April this year, after which the beta testing of the update will begin. In addition, Microsoft plans to announce the modular Windows 10X operating system, with the first devices expected to launch this spring.
The source notes that between April and May, Microsoft may host a separate Windows event or include it in the Build 2021 developer conference program. One of these events is expected to officially unveil a “new version of Windows”.
As for the update itself Sun Valley, it will bring not only new features and improvements for a more stable OS. Together with it, users will receive a large-scale update of many elements of the Windows 10 user interface, including the Start menu, Notification Center, Taskbar, etc. It is worth noting that data about the upcoming changes are obtained from numerous unofficial sources, so what Microsoft will ultimately present may look a little different.
