Microsoft launches new education and digital skills programs with Texas.

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6 / PRNewswire / – Microsoft announced new programs and events to work with the state of Texas on Thursday to meet the needs of its workforce for digital and tech skills.

Microsoft will support technological advancement in Texas and invest in human resources development, student programming and education as part of the “Accelerate” initiative, the announcement said.

Working with the Texas Education Agency, the Microsoft Accelerate initiative is delivering digital skills to tackle economic recovery by re-educating both underserved communities and Americans affected by COVID-19.

“Expanding our Accelerate program to the state of Texas is an unprecedented opportunity to accelerate local economic recovery and equip Texans with critical digital skills,” said Kate Johnson, president of Microsoft USA.

“We hope this program will be a transformative opportunity for students, teachers, workers and the entire community,” she added. End item.
