This week windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22572 brings many quality of life fixes to the Dev Channel, all detailed in the Windows official blog.
These following features were discovered by windows center and the most prominent are Microsoft Family and Clipchamp, both of which are becoming inbox apps, meaning they will be preloaded on Windows 11 machines in the future. The former allows users to configure a wide range of parental controls, as well as digital activity reports and parental controls. The latter is a video editing program that has been optimized for more intuitive use.
Also, in the new update there is a much-needed improvement to Windows 11 search. A new feature called “featured search” will be rolled out to the Insider program. It will be located on the taskbar and will allow you to see “what’s hot online, in the world and in your organization”. Perhaps this justifies Microsoft requiring everyone to be online when installing Windows 11.
The update won’t be available to all Insiders at first, but it should be available soon — Microsoft is just waiting for user feedback before launching a broader rollout. There will be other feature changes like Print Queue, Quick Assistance, and many other bug fixes and quality of life improvements.
It’s unclear when these updates will roll out to users who aren’t in the Microsoft Insider program, but it’s likely in the next big season. Windows 11 Update, 22H2that is becoming important.
