Microsoft is working on adding a new feature that allows smartphones to be connected to computers running Windows, and used as a webcam, depending on the camera in the phones.
This feature will save users from having to buy a high-quality webcam in the presence of a smartphone camera.
This feature will be available through the “Phone Link” program, which Microsoft provides to connect smartphones to computers, and makes it available for free download for all users.
According to the codes spotted in the latest version of the program, Microsoft will provide settings to broadcast the phone’s camera to the computer, with control options that allow switching between the front or rear camera, the Do Not Disturb option, and other options.
Microsoft added a wide range of video effects, such as HDR modes, night modes, image stabilization, and face retouching, and there is also an “automatic framing” feature that appears similar to the “Center Stage” feature on Apple devices, which allows the user’s appearance in the video frame to be adjusted in a way automatic.
