Microsoft has blocked the classic Start menu in Windows 11

Users experimenting with Windows 11 have so far had the option of returning to the classic Start menu by editing a value in the registry. Although not the most user-friendly setup method, it has moved the choice more or less to the level of Windows 10.

However, according to the experience of users installing Windows 11 preview build 22000.65, this option no longer works. The user can set what he wants in the registry, but the menu taken from Windows 10X will be displayed, ie the one that is displayed after a clean installation of Windows 11 and which not every user wants to get used to.

Interestingly, with previous versions of Windows, which significantly changed the graphical page and layout of the user interface, there was the option to choose and choose a “classic” look. In the case of Windows 11, Microsoft does not openly offer this option and for some reason does not even want more experienced users to reconfigure the OS.
