Microsoft Halts Windows 11 Upgrade Push: What This Means for Windows 10 Users

Microsoft’s choice is somewhat unusual for the time. After all, the end date of Windows 10 (October 14, 2025) is finally in sight. Perhaps the aggressive advertising for Windows 11 is so necessary, now that users cannot avoid updating to the new OS. In any case, the decision is in response to (apparently very negative) feedback from the Windows community, reports Windows Central.

The switch to Windows 11 may have a lot to do with hardware upgrades this year. The PC market was experiencing two disastrous years in a row in 2022 and 2023, after the corona pandemic helped the industry rebound in 2020 and 2021.
