Starfield quickly became one of Steam’s best-selling games. Overall, the game is getting a lot of attention, making it the topic of the stream as well Giant Bombwhere the head of Microsoft Game Studios, Matt Booty, appeared alongside a number of essential Xbox characters, who was clearly brimming with optimism.
According to Booty, if Starfield were to be released now, it would have far fewer bugs than most games from Bethesda, and that part hasn’t even come out yet. The title should still be under the onslaught of testers doing their best so that it comes out in good condition.
These are undoubtedly bold words from Booty, because at least according to the indications presented, the game is definitely not in the best condition yet, and according to Phil Spencer, it should have been released much earlier. Fortunately for all of us, the release date is still far enough away that it’s possible that Starfield really will be Bethesda’s least buggy game on launch day. It will arrive on PC and Xbox Series X/S on September 6, when this piece will also be available in Game Pass.
