Just over a month after the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator is it ready for the game’s first so – called World Update. These updates introduce various improvements to parts of the game world, and this time developer Asobo has addressed Japan.
According to the boss of Xbox Asia, Jeremy Hinton, players can expect a series of overhauls for the Microsoft Flight Simulator edition of The Island Nation. Among other things, six Japanese cities have received the “3D photogrammetry” treatment, which will give them a more realistic feel.
Furthermore, three new landing challenges are announced, which players can try out at Japanese airports. World Update I: Japan launches September 29, free for anyone who owns Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Spectacular simulator
Microsoft Flight Simulator arrived on the PC platform on August 18 – 14 years after the series’ previous feature. The game lets you soar through a world that retrieves both map and weather data in real time – i an experience our reviewer greatly appreciated.
– Whether you are a super serious flight simulator enthusiast who can easily fly passenger planes in real time across the Atlantic and land on real approach maps, or just want to play with a small plane over the Alps, Flight Simulator has lots of fun to offer, wrote Joachim Froholt.
