Xbox has announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available on the Xbox Series as well as the Xbox Game Pass. The moment of arrival of the work on Microsoft’s latest console was celebrated with a new launch video. The version for the console duo has arrived to be expected in July.
As detailed in a message posted on Xbox Wire news site, the version for the pair of consoles, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, will have some new features to take advantage of the hardware.
Among which are the “Discovery Flights” which offer specific aviation routes in some of the most famous landmarks in the world. There’s also what’s described as “World Exploration Improvements,” which include labels for the map and names that highlight Points of Interest to make navigation easier.
A “Flight Training” mode promises to make life easier for the most inexperienced players and there are also short lessons and 22 training flights. Another feature is the “Flight Assistant AI” which includes assistance when landing the plane when they reach their destination.
Players, it is also confirmed, will have additional help at that time thanks to the “Land Anywhere & water” features that are present on many of the planes in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Of course, the console version also includes all the updates – known as “World Updates” – that have been added to the PC version since its release. Producer Asobo Studio also promises to continue to improve and add new features to the game over the coming months and years.
As a way to keep the community together, the developer revealed that future updates will hit the console version at approximately the same time as they hit the PC.
You can see the launch video right away. Microsoft Flight Simulator came to PC in 2020 and is now also available for Xbox Series. Anyone who has an Xbox Game Pass membership can play the game on PC or Xbox Series for free.
