Waiting for a year, three months and almost 3 weeks finally Microsoft released a hotfix that caused File Explorer to open automatically. Repair Bug In fact, this took a very long time for Microsoft, it didn’t feel like it would take more than 1 year before it could be fixed.
This issue was first released by Windows 11 users, where this report itself was reported from October 2022, when Windows 11 Moment 2 was first released using the new design of File Explorer as we see today. So, bug this was first present in the Windows 11 Moment 2 version.
After updating, many users said that they had an issue where File Explorer suddenly opened automatically and it was unknown what caused it. There are many users who feel that this issue will be fixed from the monthly update, but it never comes.
“File Explorer’s focus steal bug can be extremely annoying as it can happen at random intervals and, in worse cases, every hour. It doesn’t matter what apps or programs you’re focused on, as the File Explorer automatically tries to grab focus at random intervals. This can happen in the middle of a document or presentation.”
In Release Note 2023 which they just released, the KB503375 update finally fixes the issue in File Explorer earlier. Microsoft also said that happened bug which was unknown because it was quite hidden all this time in File Explorer.

This time, it stole focus while a C-Suite was presenting, and they could not get back to their presentation, as they did not know what was happening. This caused them embarrassment.
