Microsoft Employees React to Reversal of Xbox Game Pass Bonus Suspension

As we already reported, Microsoft has decided to suspend one of the bonuses for company employees – unlimited free access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Apparently the staff were not happy about this and asked Phil Spencer to intervene in the situation as he did not appear to be involved in the decision. Soon, the CEO of Microsoft’s video games division confirmed that the decision had been reversed.

“Having discussed this with the team, I want to confirm that there will be no changes to Game Pass availability in 2024. Those who have access to the Game Pass offering today will continue to use it going forward,” Spencer said in an internal message to Microsoft employees. “Thank you for taking the time to update, and I apologize for the questions and confusion. And thank you for supporting Xbox.”

While it’s unknown how much Spencer’s involvement influenced Microsoft’s decision, many employees view the Xbox boss as a savior and have praised him on social media.

If we talk about Game Pass from the point of view of a gamer, then in November 2023, various new products await the subscription. Games for PC and consoles have already been announced for the first half of the month, to which Rollerdrome will be added.
