Microsoft confirms … major changes are coming to the Windows 10 update method

Although the Windows 10 operating system is somehow free (as Microsoft made it possible to upgrade to it for free from previous Windows systems), it continues to create a state of tension and discontent among many of its users because of its repeated flawed updates. But Microsoft revealed the future of Windows updates and the major upgrade that you will get.

During an annual event held by the company known to the developers as “Microsoft 365 Development Day”, Microsoft detailed what it calls “Windows 10X”, which is its new expression for the next generation of Windows 10 system that it will launch later this year.

The most striking thing in this Tuesday’s event was the company’s statement that it will take less than 90 seconds for Windows 10X updates to complete.

As for how that will be, Microsoft said that updates will take place through a fundamental rebuilding of the Windows update process. Windows 10x will isolate the operating system, computer hardware drivers, and applications from user data.

This means, according to Forbes website on technical matters, it can be updated seamlessly in the background, so that the operating system switches to its latest version as soon as it reboots. This is the same thing Windows users have been demanding for years.
