Microsoft closes its stores – trade journal

Microsoft is withdrawing from retail with its 82 own stores worldwide. The software group announced in Redmond.

The Americans no longer want to sell their products in their own stores. Only the showrooms in London, New York, Sydney and at the company’s headquarters in Redmond will remain open as the “Microsoft Experience Center”. The company did not provide any information on how many jobs will be affected by the measures. Microsoft could not match the success of the Apple stores, especially because the software company does not sell its own smartphones that do business with the regular customers.
