Microsoft Claims PlayStation 5 Slim Release Date in Documents from FTC Lawsuit

Microsoft claims that the PlayStation 5 Slim will be released this year.

The company reports that (via Gamerant) in documents from the lawsuit versus the Federal Trade Commission in which it is embroiled. The quote in question reads: “PlayStation is also selling a less expensive Digital Edition (of the PlayStation 5) for $399.99, and the company is expected to release a PlayStation Slim later this year for the same cheaper price.”

That is striking, because Sony has not yet announced a PlayStation 5 Slim. The current Digital Edition of the PS5 costs in Europe at the moment, by the way 450 euros due to inflationso if Microsoft is right, the Slim edition will probably also cost 450 euros.
