Microsoft buys gaming giant for 600 billion kroner

The technology giant Microsoft is buying the gaming company Activision Blizzard, the company states in a press release.

Microsoft buys the gaming company for $ 95 per share, which will provide a price of almost $ 69 billion. This corresponds to around NOK 600 billion.

Activision Blizzard develops the games Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, World of Warcraft and Candy Crush, among others.

The company has offices all over the world and around 10,000 employees.

When the transaction is completed, Microsoft will be the world’s third largest gaming company, measured in turnover, behind Sony and Tencent.
