Microsoft announced that the Xbox Live Gold membership system, which has been on the Xbox platform for more than 20 years, will be officially revised on September 14 this year. Combined with its own Xbox Game Pass subscription service, it will launch a new Xbox Game Pass Core.
For former Xbox Live Gold players, the biggest difference in Xbox Game Pass Core is that it has changed from offering two free games to claim every month to providing a free-to-play library of curated games, including more than 25 titles High-quality games, in addition to the same rights to play console online multiplayer games, as well as the same benefits and discounts on selected games.
Players who currently have Xbox Live Gold gold membership will automatically convert to Xbox Game Pass Core subscribers on September 14 without any application. The monthly price is NT$199 or the annual price is NT$1,199. Existing Xbox Live Gold members pay the same monthly fee. The Xbox One games previously received by players through Xbox Live Gold gold members can still be accessed freely as long as they maintain the subscription qualifications of Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultima, and will not disappear.
What’s more special is that the Xbox 360 games received through gold members in the past will always exist in the player’s game library, regardless of subscription qualifications or not.
The game library content of Xbox Game Pass Core mainly comes from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and content partners, but access to the Game Pass Core game library directory is only applicable to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. Microsoft has announced 19 games so far , including Among Us, Descenders, Murder 2, Doom: Eternal, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fable: Anniversary Edition, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 , “Forza Motorsport: Horizon 4”, “Gears of War 5”, “Survival in a Tiny World”, “Halo 5: Guardians”, “Halo: Star Ring Campaign 2”, “Hellblade: Race Nuya’s Sacrifice”, “Humanity: Fall Flat”, “Inside”, “Light of the Holy Spirit 2”, “Mind Navigator 2”, “City of Decay 2”, etc., and new games will be added every year after that, but Games may vary by region.
