The National Training and Employment Service (Sence) Y Microsoft have strengthened their alliance to offer new job training in Chile with the launch of new free technology courses and technical skills of high demand, in areas of Artificial Intelligence, programming and software development.
The alliance is part of the plan Transform Chile # ReactivaciónDigital presented by Microsoft last December, One of the pillars of this initiative is the Skills Training Program with Sence, the objective of which is to train 180,000 people in new tools in a period of 4 years.
Until now, Sence and Microsoft courses were only taught through the platform LinkedIn Learning, which will be available until the end of this year. The new specialized training will be carried out in Microsoft Learning through the Sence website.
Free technology courses for everyone
These free technology courses complement Sence’s social programs, expanding the scope and target group served by the service. The only requirements to access these courses are to be 18 years old and have a RUT.
“For us, training is a means to get people to find work or to start a business, especially in areas that are being required today, such as new technologies. Furthermore, we want to increase female participation in this area, which is still low, ”emphasized Ricardo Ruiz de Viñaspre, deputy director of Sence.
“After 2020 of accelerated digital transformation driven by the pandemic, 2021 is also expected to be a year driven by technology and in this sense, learning new digital skills is essential to have better job opportunities in the future. At Microsoft we are committed to increasing people’s technological knowledge, because the more innovation and the adoption of new technologies advance, the more doors open for people specialized in the industries ”, commented Sergio Rademacher, General Manager of Microsoft Chile

In Chile, 258,828 people have enrolled in these courses, which will be available until the end of this year, with Customer Service, Data Analyst and IT Support / Technical Support being the most popular courses.
