Microsoft and Meta Collaboration: Limited Edition Meta Quest Inspired by Xbox Launching Soon

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – It is known that Microsoft has collaborated with Meta to present a VR headset. However, it is said that this VR headset is not entirely a direct result of a collaboration between the two companies.

Provides information from The SeaTuesday (23/4/2024), this headset is actually a VR headset Meta Quest which is said to be inspired by Xbox. It has also been explained that this VR headset will be available as a limited edition.

“We are working with Microsoft again to produce a limited edition Meta Quest, inspired by the Xbox,” wrote Meta in a statement.

Even though it has been announced, not much information about this headset has been revealed. There is a possibility that this headset is a Meta Quest 3 with a cover skin in particular and will be packaged by the controller Xbox.

In a post on Instagram, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also said that the recently released VR headset will be equipped with an Xbox controller and Game Pass.

“So you can start playing right away on the big screen, wherever you go,” he wrote in a post on Instagram. Along with this news, Meta also revealed that they had access to the open their VR operating system to third parties.

Called Meta Horizon OS, Mark said, there are several companies that have committed to developing it VR headset with this operating system. Mark said that so far, the two companies known to use this operating system are Asus and Lenovo.
