MicroPopWeek 2024 – DIY festival in Düsseldorf: Ten days of music from the local scene

Festival from 27 September to 06 October

At MicroPopWeek, which starts on Friday, September 27, 2024, 21 events will take place over ten days in 17 different locations in Düsseldorf. It is a festival for DIY culture, which means making something yourself.

The event is a cooperation between actors from the Düsseldorf music scene and is taking place for the tenth time this year. In addition to concerts, film screenings and readings are also part of the program, which runs from September 27th to October 6th. The organizers involved choose their program freely and carry it out independently, which is how the festival differs from other events. If interested, actors can contact the organizers with ideas, who will then check whether they fit the program and, in the best case, include them.

MicroPopWeek does not require any sponsorship or public funding. The events take place in various locations such as bars, cafés, shops, living rooms and backyards.

These include, for example, Metropol, Weltkunstzimmer, Franticworld Hinterhof, Kabawil eV, Eiscafé Da Forno, Subsol, Datcha, the pool, Nilsson, Bilker Bunker, Schleuse 2, Berger Kirche, Funky Deli, Cemil’s Manege, Fliese, Suitberga and the Zakk.

The MicroPopWeek is a cooperation between actors from the Düsseldorf music scene. Each event within the framework of the MicroPopWeek is independently organized.
