The Chamber of Commerce of Salerno launched the Call for Digital Vouchers 2024to support the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in ecological transition and digitalization projects. This initiative makes non-repayable contributions available for technological investments aimed at improving automation and the use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital management systems.
The Call includes two intervention measures:
- Measurement A – Reserved for projects aggregated by at least three companies, with a total fund of 200,000 euros.
- Measurement B – Dedicated to individual projects, with a fund of 800,000 euros.
The vouchers issued can reach up to 40.000 euro for aggregated businesses e 10.000 euro for individuals, with a reward for those with a valid legality rating. Applications can be sent electronically via the Infocamere “Contributions to businesses” desk, from 20 November to 20 December 2024.
“With the announcement, the Salerno Chamber of Commerce intends to go beyond the simple provision of economic contributions, focusing on qualified assistance for the beneficiary companies – declared the Vice President of the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, Giuseppe Gallo -. The real obstacle that many companies encounter is not only access to financing, but the lack of adequate digital skills to fully exploit the opportunities offered by technological innovation. In this context, the improvement recorded by the province of Salerno in the indicator of the average level of digitalisation of companies developed by the Tagliacarne Study Center is particularly significant, which sees us go from 83rd place in 2022 to 29th in 2023”.
“Digital transformation is now an essential priority for Italian SMEs, and is not limited only to artificial intelligence, but includes a wide spectrum of innovations that are redefining the way of doing business – declares the President of Unioncamere and the Salerno Chamber of Commerce Andrea Prete – . However, we are observing that the level of adoption and integration of digital technologies is still very uneven: according to the latest report from the Italian Digital Observatory, around 30% of Italian SMEs have not yet started significant digitalisation processes, often due to lack of digital skills (32%) and lack of economic resources (35%). For Italian companies, and in particular for SMEs in the province of Salerno, it is essential to grasp the advantages of these technologies and integrate them into their business models, while preserving the specific peculiarities of the territories that distinguish them on the market. It is no coincidence that we announced this allocation at the end of the Agrifood Future event in September, which saw the presence of Google in Salerno, we demonstrated how fundamental the strategic adoption of digital solutions is to face current and future challenges. As the Chamber of Commerce of Salerno, we are committed to supporting this transformation path, offering concrete support to SMEs in the province of Salerno with one million euros in vouchers for between ecological and digital transformation and with the PIDMed program, which guides companies in the discovery and in the adoption of advanced technologies. Our goal is to ensure that local SMEs can not only overcome initial barriers, but also thrive in an increasingly digital competitive environment“.
