It was 4:23 p.m. this Sunday, October 29, when Mickaël Habib arrived in Marsannay-la-Côte, surrounded by around sixty people who had come to congratulate him on this feat and to promote the prize pool for the benefit of little Milla, 7 years old, suffering from leukodystrophy, and the association “Tiens ta caboche Milla”. A prize pool which, to date, has reached 2,000 euros. And among the spectators who impatiently awaited the arrival of Mickaël Habib, 38 years old and resident of Tart, was young Milla. ” Today is a special day. Mom has hung colorful balloons on my wheelchair and I am awaiting the arrival of Mickaël, my godfather, who is finishing the race he promised me. »
A little earlier in the day, Mickaël Habib had taken the start of his fourth and final day of racing between Lyon and Dijon. A journey started on Wednesday October 25 from the Tête d’Or park. Four days of running, without assistance and sleeping with people affected by the fight in Côte-d’Orien. A challenge which also made it possible to increase the prize pool for the association. On this last day of effort, the legs were heavy for Mickaël Habib whose joy at arriving was palpable. When he found Milla, the thirty-year-old could not hold back his tears while his loved ones applauded the human and sporting feat.
“I came out grown, I pushed myself to the limit, and I found what I was looking for, found my limits to push them further. My pain is nothing, because in seven days my feet will be healed and I will be able to walk again. But you, Milla, no,” Mickaël Habib exclaimed in particular.
For those wishing to support Milla and Mickaël Habib, the prize pool will remain online for several days for ”Hold your noggin Milla”.
