Mick Schumacher will also be a Ferrari substitute next season in F1

“Mick did well, not only in terms of balance but also speed,” said Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto. Before entering the elite series, Schumacher passed the Ferrari Academy and won the Formula 2 Championship last year.

Mick Schumacher will share the position of reserve driver in Ferrari with the Italian Antonio Giovinazzi, who lost his engagement in Alfa Romeo after this season.

He will be racing Formula E next year and will cover the backs of regular Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz at the Twelve Formula 1 Grand Prix if they can’t start because of the Covid-19, for example.
