Mick Schumacher: The team will manage the budget wisely

In his final race for Haas, Mick Schumacher finished sixteenth after receiving a penalty for colliding with Nicholas Latifi. His teammate Kevin Magnussen finished 17th. However, the team retained eighth place in the Constructors’ Championship.

Mick Schumacher (16th): “Today we didn’t have speed. In qualifying the car was fast, but we knew it would be difficult to maintain the starting positions. We had hoped for more, but the team managed to hold on to eighth place in the Constructors’ Championship, which was the target.

I’m happy for the team: now they will have a completely different budget. I’m sure they’ll be able to dispose of it properly.”

Kevin Magnussen (17th): “The most important thing was to secure eighth place in the Constructors’ Championship. We didn’t have any speed in the race, but we accomplished the goal. Eighth place in the championship will give motivation to work in the winter, because the team has made a big step forward compared to what it was two years ago. We have an excellent basis for further development and I am looking forward to next year.”

Günther Steiner, Team Principal: “We finished the season eighth in the Constructors’ Championship – we did it. Throughout the season we had ups and downs, but we got the job done. Next year we have to take the next step forward.

Today’s race didn’t go the way we wanted, but eighth place in the championship is everything for us.”
